TOURNAMENT FOOD TABLES

Some volleyball tournaments allow teams to set up food tables for them to snack on throughout the day. Check the tournament website to see if tables are allowed at the venue where you will be playing.
The venues do not always provide tables so it is best to always take one with you.
  1. First - start with a tablecloth...red black or white.
  2. Second- Add a centerpiece. The centerpiece can be an arrangement  in the center of the table,  a poster, or  a tri fold board placed on the table identifying your team and organization with player names and / or pictures.
  3. Third finish decorating the table with streamers, glitter, balloons, etc.
Table decorations can be as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be....the sky (or your wallet) is the limit.

Sample Tournament Food/Snack List
• Pasta salad
• Low-Fat yogurt (flavors: vanilla and strawberry)
• String cheese
• Bagels or English muffins with cream cheese or peanut butter
• Lean meat (ham, turkey and roast beef) tortilla wraps

January kicks-off club volleyball season and Atlanta Extreme Volleyball Club started their season with a food drive for the North Gwinnett Co-op.  A big part of the AEVC vision is community outreach and service opportunities for their teams.  Club director, Lauren Sands wanted this day to count for more than volleyball and rallied the teams to bring in canned goods for the tournament admission.  With 250 families involved in the volleyball club, it was the perfect opportunity to hold a food drive and stock the shelves of the NG Co-op food pantry after a busy holiday season.  Player Vivian Guy states, "being a part of a club that not only offers volleyball training but creates opportunities to serve my community is a win-win".

The North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries is a faith based organization that provides food, clothing, utility and prescription medication assistance to residents of Buford, Sugar Hill and Suwanee, GA. For more information on serving the Gwinnett Co-op, visit www.northgwinnettcoop.org

Have a great day!
